Lexis Tamarindo

Lexis Tamarindo is a welcoming language school founded on passion, experience, and a love for teaching. Established in February 2019 by Dimitri Kyriakoulis, Lexis has become a trusted place for language learning in the Tamarindo area. Dimitri, an engineer of Greek origin, discovered his calling for teaching languages while living in Valencia and Madrid, where he began teaching English in 2007.

After arriving in Tamarindo in 2012, Dimitri immersed himself in the local community, working in hospitality and service roles before returning to what he loved most—education. His teaching career in Costa Rica quickly grew when he joined the Pan-American Language Center (CPI) in 2015, later becoming Director of the Foreign Languages Department. In 2018, he began teaching English independently, starting with hotel staff and soon attracting a growing number of local students, which led to the creation of Lexis.

Located in Plaza Villarreal, at the Villarreal intersection, Lexis Tamarindo offers individual and group classes in English, Spanish, and French. Courses are available for children, teenagers, and adults, making the school suitable for families, expats, travelers, and locals alike. Lexis focuses on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident developing real-world language skills.
