Bottega Tamarindo

Bottega Tamarindo is a wine and gourmet food store in Galería Langosta, next to Starbucks, on the road to Playa Langosta. It belongs to Bottega, a Costa Rican company with other stores in Escazú, Nunciatura and Heredia. The Tamarindo store is the company’s first store outside the Central Valley.

The store sells wine from many regions and at many price levels, spirits, chilled drinks, cheeses, cured meats, packaged gourmet foods and cuts of meat for grilling. A sommelier and trained staff help customers choose wine. The store has a tasting room for up to 20 people that is used for private events and guided wine tastings. Delivery is arranged through a courier service.

Bottega Tamarindo is consistently well reviewed. Reviewers often mention helpful, knowledgeable staff who suggest wines based on the occasion rather than the price, a wide selection and an attractive shop. Some visitors also had cheese and meat boards prepared from their purchases. One reviewer felt closely watched by staff while shopping.
