THE NAIL BOX

The Nail Box is a nail salon in Garden Plaza, the same shopping center as Auto Mercado, near the entrance to Tamarindo. It offers manicures, gel manicures, builder gel, Gel-X extensions, and classic, gel and spa pedicures. Extras include French and chrome finishes, nail art and removal of gel or acrylic. The salon uses OPI GelColor products, and appointments can be booked online through its website.

The Nail Box is well reviewed overall. Many reviewers praise careful work by individual technicians, a clean and relaxing salon and easy online booking, and some return on every visit to Tamarindo. Two recent reviews describe bad experiences: one reported painful nail removal and cuticle work and difficulty communicating in English, and another was turned away after arriving late for an appointment.
