D’s Bistro Tamarindo

D’s Bistro is a breakfast and lunch restaurant on East Road in Tamarindo, set back from the main street in a garden with tropical plants and fountains. Monkeys often visit the trees.

The menu includes pancakes, French toast, omelettes, gallo pinto, breakfast burritos and fruit bowls, plus salads, paninis, burgers, poke bowls, fish tacos and main dishes for lunch. Breakfast plates cost about 4,000 to 4,500 colones. There are vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, and the restaurant makes its own pineapple hot sauce. Guests can eat in, take food away or order ahead for pickup. Paying in cash gives a 10% discount. Free street parking is available.
