Sol Eco Adventures runs Kayak Tours Tamarindo, a small local company offering kayak, nature and turtle tours around Tamarindo. Tours are led by the owner and local guides, with pickup from where guests are staying.

Tours include kayak and boat trips through the Tamarindo estuary and Las Baulas National Park, where guests see mangroves, birds, crocodiles and other wildlife. Other tours visit Capitán Island, and there are snorkeling and diving trips to the Catalina Islands. Turtle-nesting and hatching tours visit a quieter beach about 30 minutes from Tamarindo and include a short hike. A longer overnight trip goes to Ostional for the turtle arrivals there.
