Inkdigena is a tattoo studio and art gallery in Plaza Avenida, across from Banco Nacional in central Tamarindo. Its work draws on Costa Rican nature and pre-Columbian art.
The studio offers custom tattoos in several styles, including black-and-grey realism, colour work, fine line, cursive lettering, blackwork and indigenous-tribal designs. It also offers body piercing. The gallery sells original paintings on canvas with Costa Rican themes such as hummingbirds, orchids, jaguars and pre-Columbian motifs, and the artists paint large murals and take part in events such as Art Fest Costa Rica. Appointments are arranged by WhatsApp.
The studio is open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 21:00 and Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00.
