Casa Alang Alang

Casa Alang Alang is a large Bali-style villa on a private hillside at the entrance to Tamarindo. It is managed by Elite Beach Villas. The house has views over the Tamarindo estuary and the Pacific Ocean, north to Playa Grande. The beach and town center are about a five-minute walk away, but the manager recommends renting a car or golf cart.

The villa covers about 15,000 square feet. It has eight bedrooms with eight bathrooms and sleeps up to 20 guests. This includes a separate apartment with a kitchenette and a kids’ room with five single beds and a ping pong table. There are two pools: a 21-meter lap pool on the lower level and an infinity pool on the main floor. Other features include a media room, a gym and yoga room, a BBQ and air conditioning in all bedrooms. Daily housekeeping, laundry, breakfast preparation (food cost extra) and concierge service are included, and a night guard is on duty. Smoking, pets and parties after 10 pm are not allowed.

Casa Alang Alang is consistently well reviewed. Guests mostly praise the ocean view and the location close to the beach. One recent guest said a few showers had low water pressure or no hot water, and that the gym had little equipment.
